香港人的飲食習慣，除了早、午、晚三類正餐外，宵夜可說是香港人普遍的飲食文化。2003年曾經有一項關於香港人宵夜習慣的調查，調查結果顯示，有35.3%的被訪者在晚餐後會有吃喝的習慣，但隨著香港人的生活模式轉變，香港的宵夜文化越來越普遍，飲食業為迎合市場需求，亦紛紛開拓宵夜時段，吸納宵夜客源。
其實，吃宵夜這個文化，在整個亞洲都非常普遍。吉隆坡有亞羅街、新加坡有芽龍、北京有簋街、東京有歌舞伎町、而香港的宵夜熱點更遍佈全港主要區域，港島區有灣仔、銅鑼灣、九龍則有油尖旺、深水埗、荃灣、而元朗、沙田、大埔正是新界的代表。
宵夜，雖然是一日之中時間最晚、份量最少的一餐，但憑著廚子精準的廚藝，都會給宵夜客深刻印象。每晚，凌晨時份燈光火著，越夜越美麗，越夜越美味。
